Department of Philosophy & Global Justice

The Department of Philosophy and Global Justice at 360 Research Foundation serves as a key pillar in promoting critical and interdisciplinary philosophical research. With a distinctive academic focus, it is the only department in India that comprehensively explores the three primary streams of philosophical thought—Islamic Philosophy, Indian Philosophy, and Western Philosophy. This broad scope enables the department to address a wide range of philosophical inquiries, from ancient wisdom to modern ethical dilemmas, fostering a holistic understanding of global justice and human values.

The department is committed to nurturing a space for intellectual dialogue, ethical reflection, and cultural exchange. It aims to contribute to both theoretical and applied philosophy, engaging with topics such as morality, identity, religion, rights, justice, metaphysics, and epistemology. Special emphasis is placed on examining philosophy’s role in responding to contemporary social and global challenges.

At the helm of the department is Dr. Kumar Dev Datt, an accomplished philosopher and academician who earned his Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University (BHU). Under his leadership, the department is steadily building a platform for emerging scholars, thinkers, and activists to collaborate and contribute to a deeper, more just understanding of the world. The department welcomes partnerships, research collaborations, and scholarly exchange.
