The Scientific Horizon: Author Guidelines

1. About the Magazine

The Scientific Horizon is a peer-reviewed multidisciplinary magazine published by the 360 Research Foundation. It serves as an intellectual bridge between rigorous academic research, technological innovation, and grassroots social development. The magazine welcomes high-quality original articles, review papers, short communications, and case studies across a broad spectrum of scientific and technical disciplines.

2. Scope of Publications

Submissions are invited across, but not limited to, the following core subject areas:

  • Basic & Applied Sciences: Physics, Chemistry, and Life Sciences.
  • Advanced Technologies: Biotechnology, Engineering, and Information Technology.
  • Agricultural & Environmental Sciences: Sustainable Agriculture, Agronomy, Environmental Monitoring, and Natural Resource Management.
  • Cross-Sectoral Themes: Technology Transfer, Grassroots Innovations, Rural Development, and Scientific Updates.

3. Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

To maintain standardized ISSN publication quality, authors must prepare manuscripts in accordance with the following structural parameters:

  • File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).
  • Font & Size: Times New Roman, 12-point.
  • Line Spacing: 1.5 spacing with standard 1-inch margins on all sides.
  • Article Length:

    • Research / Review Articles: 3,000 to 5,000 words.
    • Short Communications / Perspectives: 1,500 to 2,500 words.
  • Title Page Structure:

    • Concise and informative article title.
    • Author(s) full name, institutional affiliation, academic designation, and official email address.
    • Corresponding author clearly indicated.

4. Structure of the Manuscript

Standard research or review submissions should be organized under the following sequential headings:

  1. Title & Author Information
  2. Abstract: A concise summary (150–250 words) outlining the core objectives, methodology, key findings, and implications.
  3. Keywords: 4 to 6 relevant keywords separated by semicolons.
  4. Introduction: Background context, research gap, and objectives.
  5. Methodology / Approach: Explanation of methods, data sources, or analytical frameworks utilized.
  6. Results and Discussion: Detailed presentation of findings, supported by tables, figures, or data points where applicable.
  7. Conclusion & Future Implications: Summary of primary takeaways and real-world applications.
  8. References: Formatted consistently using standard academic styles (APA or MLA format).

5. Ethical Guidelines & Plagiarism Policy

  • Originality: Submissions must be original, unpublished work not currently under consideration by any other journal or magazine.
  • Plagiarism Check: All manuscripts undergo an automated similarity check. Plagiarism exceeding 15% will result in immediate desk rejection.
  • Author Responsibility: Authors must ensure factual accuracy, proper citation of secondary data, and appropriate ethical clearance where field studies or human/animal subjects are involved.

6. Submission Process

Manuscripts, along with a brief cover letter, should be submitted electronically via email to the editorial office at Contact@360rf.in or uploaded directly through the submission portal at www.360rf.in.

  • Review Timeline: Initial editorial screening takes 3 to 5 working days; peer review and final editorial decision are typically communicated within 2 to 3 weeks of submission.
